Meet Presto One, one of twelve finalists battling for a chance become the Sapphire Pool and Day Club Resident DJ.
Presto is firmly rooted in hip-hop, as his proud membership in the legendary and world-famous Rock Steady Crew can attest. His turntablist abilities landed him a spot in Q-Bert’s Scratchlopedia DVD, but it’s Presto’s knack for taking that hip-hop sensibility and presenting it to all kinds of different crowds that makes him stand out. His talents have led to working with artists like The Roots, Q-Bert, Jazzy Jeff, Funkmaster Flex, and the Beat Junkies as well as spinning parties for celebs like Britney Spears, Roasrio Dawson, and TJ Lavin.
The Vegas club scene is a competitive one, but Presto has made himself a fixture in it, rocking clubs like Pure, Tao, Studio 54, Jet, Vanity, and Body English inside the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. His latest venture, a collaboration with drummer Dustin J called 51Fifty, has garnered plenty of critical acclaim in just a few months.
Aside from clubs, Presto’s work has been featured on videos, magazines, and record compilations like Okay Player: True Notes Vol. 1, Uncle Howie Records, The TJ Lavin Story DVD, Tribal Street Wear: Beyond the Four vol. 1 & 2, and for the ESPN Action Sports Awards in 2002. He also has countless mixtapes under his belt covering underground hip-hop, b-boy breaks, exclusive material, mainstream hits, and plenty more material on the way as both a solo artist and a member of 51Fifty.
